Long time no draw this rabbit. I have been slacking too much. But here's one at last, with pencil and finished (and shaded) with pen.
I have no photoshop for the time being.

Audrey Hepburn - Sketch

Seems like once in a while, the mood for a proper drawing [instead of a comic] comes..
This time, although not that good, I can't bear to tear it like other failed drawings..

Here's the end-result

and here's the original ^.^

Happy Easter 2012

It's been a year since I actually drawn for this page and as you can see the last drawn was last year's wish for Easter! My, how time flies.. and how lazy I've gotten!

So... Just want to give another Happy Easter Wish this time =D

Yeap, that's like the stupid bunny that I havent even named who's turning to super saiyan to lift the heavy easter egg... hehehe

Anyways, actually the real reason is that recently animes been distracting me from posting a lot but I hope I have and I can spare time to draw some more

Happy Halloween 2010!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Everyone!
I have been occupied with this pict from Thurs and until just now (Sun 5.40pm) so now comic this week >.<

Here's some explanation:
-a grim reaper with his scythe;

-Then the usual guy with anatomy guy face mask. The shirt is a play on body glove and Left4Dead logo

-The small guy over there is the rabbit that has been reappearing on my event wishes tag. I personally like the shirt where it's a heart with the arteries and there's a spider on it with its web. Came up with that idea out of the blue

-and the girl it's just a random ghost from Japanese folklore!

Hmm, feel free to give me comments ;-)

Ukiyo-e with digital attempt

Ukiyo-e is an ancient Japanese brush painting style where the artist will use a wood plank, draw on it with brush, carve it, apply color, put paper over it and then "print it".

I just attempted to draw a self portrait by using this style with brush on plain A4 white paper drawing book and with normal ink-brush and chinese ink.
After that I processed the edits with photoshop (mainly only coloring with brush, add texture, lighting effects and saturation). The black portions (the main sketch) are still handrawn.
Here goes nothing:

the small writing at the bottom left (wiriamu, jibun no eizou = William, Self Portrait)

Meanwhile, this is how Ukiyo-e was done. Below is a picture of Sharaku (kabuki actor Otani Onji II)  which has become an iconic figure in japanese art.

The Beatles

Not a big fan actually. I just liked "I wanna hold your hand" and this was roughly how they look during the 60s? Not too sure, told you I'm not a big fan. Of course I put used my comic style to draw them ;)

Guitar

Anyways I mentioned before that I want to participate in this
http://www.futuregenerationartprize.org/

So that will explain why there has been no release last week. Since drawing this kind of thing takes even much more time and last week was spent on doing this =.=. Although I only do it and will only do it once in a while, I like to draw this type of drawing. This would be one of my entries (some of you might have seen it on my facebook page ;] ):
And here's the explanation of the drawing:
Title: Guitar
Watercolor on 15"x22" paper

Artist's comment:
The representation of lively/calm tune by the image of beach scene.

The rainbow (6 colors instead of the 7 spectrum) can represent the guitar strings and the colors is meant to depict the liveliness of the tune. The wavy style of the rainbow shows the vibration to produce sound.

The sun, is the representation of sound hole on a guitar and it is integral in producing a great melody just like how the sun to the rainbow.

The coconut tree like figure is made such that it looks as if it is strumming or picking the rainbow (Strings)

The dots on the beach sand is to represent sands rocks or shells on the beach but it's done in a regular manner/pattern not because it appears in that way in reality but it's to take the form of the regularity of a tune produced by a guitar.
